Team Niwant's memorable trip to Goa

During 12-15 of November, a team of 21 people from Niwant, including the founders Ms. Meera Badve and Mr. Anand Badve made a trip to the one of the most beautiful places in India. The trip was sponsored by Goa's Social Welfare Ministry headed by Mr. Sudin Dhawlikar and renowned spinal surgeon Dr. PS Ramani.The team Niwant started from Pune on 12th evening and reached Goa on 13th morning. The team's boarding and lodging arrangements were made at Ramnath Temple.On 13th, the team Niwant visited Ramnath Temple, Mahalakshmi Temple, Bom Jesus Church and enjoyed the beauty of Miramar Beach. The children also had a ferry ride and tried their hands on steering the ferry, courtesy the captain of the ferry. The team also visited the minister's home and was offered sweets delicacies.On second day, the children gave a mesmerizing performance at the event of launch of Braille version of 'Tat Kana' by Dr. PS Ramani. This event was organized at Wadi, the hometown of Dr. PS Ramani. The event also saw beautiful performances by celebrated Kathak dancer Ranjan Phadke and her young disciples from Wadi.Finally after a eventful stay of two days at Goa, team returned to Pune on 15th morning with a ever lasting memories of some wonderful time in the vicinity of nature.For pictures, please visit gallery 'Team Niwant's visit to Goa'.
